Beckonings’ interior design staff is associated with several organizations dedicated to promoting good design and furthering the skills of their members. Among these are:

ASID – The American Society of Interior Designers is a community of designers, industry representatives, educators and students committed to interior design. Through education, knowledge sharing, advocacy, community building and outreach, the Society strives to advance the interior design profession and, in the process, to demonstrate and celebrate the power of design to positively change people’s lives. Its more than 38,000 members engage in a variety of professional programs and activities through a network of 48 chapters throughout the United States and Canada. IFDA – The International Furnishings and Design Association is a worldwide professional alliance of leaders representing the diverse industries that constitute the universe of residential and commercial furnishings and design. Founded in 1947, IFDA is the only all-industry association whose members provide services and products to the furnishings and design industry. WCAA – The Window Coverings Association of America is the only national non-profit trade association dedicated to the retail window coverings industry. Its mission in to make available educational opportunities in the window covering and interior fashion professions, to encourage a code of ethics for fair business practices in the industry,  and to work for its betterment.
