About Beckonings
Too much of a good thing Mae West
In 1992, two friends combined their similar tastes and complimentary talents to open Beckonings, a showroom and shop dedicated to providing beautiful “designs for living and giving.” After five successful years together, the store was bursting at the seams, and the interior design and furnishings side of the business spun back off as a separate entity. With some more space available, owner Eileen Beckhardt Freedman expanded many of the accessories, gift, and tableware lines Beckonings offers, and has continued to add new and interesting lines she knows her clientele will love, including wearable art items, more Judaica, and a profusion of eclectic personal and gift items.
